This is an image of knight in head armour taken at Tewkesbury War of the Roses reenactment. I cropped tight into the helmet to give an impression of menace. I also removed the highlights from the eyes which added more strength to the impact of the image. The Printed image won a MCPF Ribbon at Midphot 2023 and the PDI was accepted in the 50th Smethwick international salon 2024.
Man under his umbrella in the rain at Castlerigg stone circle. This image was taken at Castlerigg stone circle during a heavy rain storm. I cropped the image to a square format and left a lot of negative space above the man to give the impression of heavy rain. The Printed image won a Peter Cheetham Judges medal Photofolio 2018.
This monochrome image depicts a new born lamb venturing away from its mother but checking reassuringly that its mother is still close to hand. The mother yew is depicted as half of her to give an impression of greater negative space. This image won the Ralph Duckett medal at the 75th Midland international print salon 2024. The image has also been accepted in a further three international salons, the Cheltenham International Salon of Photography 2024, the Swiss International salon 2024 and the 50th Smethwick International salon.
